When BC Spot Prawn season opened in May 2011, the Foodtree team leveraged our mobile marketing solution in order to immerse food lovers in useful information about these succulent crustaceans.
At the opening weekend festival users smart-phone owners could scan QR codes and see a mobile-ready site detailing the prawn season, our local fisherman selling their daily catch, and restaurants in Vancouver who would be service fresh prawns on their menus.
Throughout the season we kept this app updated with fine-dining spots serving prawns, recipes to prepare them at home, and a quick way to sign up for daily email alerts from fishboats about to bring in a fresh catch. It was the best way to be first in line for BC spot prawns during the 2011 season!

The wine was recommended by the waiter and it is truly delicious; the customer's hoping she'll be able to buy some for herself this weekend.
In seconds she's reading Renato's family story, and the care he and his wife put into farming their unique wines. She sees a list of wine shops in her neighborhood where she can find a bottle and makes a note to pick one up as soon as she can.
